Ethical Screening is run by a dedicated team with a wealth of experience in the ethical investment, environmental, social and corporate research fields.

 

 

Mike Head

Mike was key to the establishment of Ethical Screening in 1998, and has worked with investment providers and advisers for over 40 years. His roles include developing new business opportunities and the existing client base; product development; and management of the business. Mike's contacts with investors and managers, as a financial advisor, keep our services relevant to those who use them.

Gerard Llewellyn

Gerard has worked in responsible investment since 1997, and has been with Ethical Screening since it was founded in 1998. His roles include the development and maintenance of our ethical screening criteria, research methods and management systems; designing and developing products and services for our individual, charity and institutional client; and day-to-day management of the business.

Jim Blackstock

Jim is involved in the development of our Funds Portal product, building relationships with sponsors of the Funds Database, and promoting our wide range of products and services. Jim has a broad background in sustainable development and research, working on projects ranging from watershed management to gender-based violence.

Juliana Burden

Juliana is involved in our core data gathering processes, with a particular focus on ethical issues. She also conducts client-specific research and produces bespoke reports for individuals, charities and institutions. Juliana's special interests include access to medicines; and the extractive industries and their environmental and social impacts, with a particular focus on South America.

Calum Palmer

Calum supervises our research team, and is involved in our core data gathering processes, with a particular focus on the UN SDGs. Calum's interests include sustainability, ethical consumerism, animal rights, gender inequality, and LGBTQ+ issues. He studied International Development at the University of East Anglia with a key focus on natural resources, gender, and social anthropology.

Elisabeth Ottosen

Elisabeth is involved in all of our core research areas, with a particular focus on governance; and on client-specific research some of our charity clients. Special interests include animal rights, supply chain issues and the social and environmental effects associated with over-consumption and population pressures. Elisabeth has a background in corporate governance research and analysis.

Jonny White

Jonny joined Ethical Screening's research team in 2020. In addition to involvement in our core data gathering processes, he is responsible for producing the ethical screens for individual client investment portfolios, and working with clients on the development of their ethical investment policies. Jonny has a particular interest in nuclear disarmament, workers’ rights and the environment, and has an MSc. in International Relations from the University of Bristol.

Helen Duley

In addition to general research, analysis, and monitoring of corporate activities, Helen has a particular focus on company ESG performance and practices, and helps develop our ESG offering. Helen has a particular interest in social justice, the impact of corporate activity on the natural world, and sustainable tourism. She has an MSc in Environment and Development from the University of Edinburgh.

Cameron Barker

Cameron researches and analyses companies against our criteria, whilst providing excellent marketing and data support. He has an MSc in Corporate Sustainability & Environmental Management from the University of York and helped to found the Lincoln Student Managed Investment Fund as an undergraduate in Lincoln. Cameron has interests in biodiversity, healthcare, and education.

Andrew Hicklin

Andrew joined Ethical Screening’s research team in 2022. He is involved in our core data gathering processes, researching company activities and analysing their performance against our ethical, ESG and sustainability criteria. Andrew has a particular interest in governance, social justice and sustainability. Andrew has a BA in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Manchester.

Lisa Treusch

Lisa joined Ethical Screening's research team in 2021. She is involved in our core data gathering processes, researching company activities and analysing their performance against our criteria. Lisa has a particular interest in gender equality and the promotion of inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all. She has a Master of Management from the University of Sydney.

Yegor Pomazunov

Yegor joined our team in 2023, researching and analysing company performance against our ethical, ESG and sustainability criteria. He has a degree in Business Management, from Bath Spa University, and has an interest in Artificial Intelligence.

Amelia joined the Ethical Screening team in 2022 having worked previously in project and operational roles across various industries. Amelia provides support to the Directors, Managers, and Research Team, assisting in office management and marketing.
